Nuuk 2024

The world is calling for sustainable solutions, and Greenland may very well be in a strong position to deliver on many of them. But what is Greenland’s potential, and what does our future look like? And who should actually be discussing the future of Greenland?
For the very first time, Greenland Business is hosting a youth business conference that brings the country’s young people close to decision-makers and opinion leaders. After all, isn’t it best to let the people who will live in Greenland’s future have a say in shaping its direction? The conference gives young participants the experience of attending a “real” business conference, and it concludes with the conference’s messages being delivered to the Prime Minister of Greenland and subsequently to all participants of the Future Greenland conference, which will be held for the 9th time in Nuuk in 2024.
The conference topics cover both sustainability and the role of civil society in the country’s development. How can social media be used to participate in public debate, what does democracy mean, are there exciting jobs for young Greenlanders in the global world, and is it even possible to make a living as a musician or artist? These are some of the questions the conference aims to answer. Additionally, the young participants will meet inspiring politicians and employers, engage in debates, and experience the atmosphere of a conference where major topics are up for discussion.
The conference is free and is funded by private sponsors and Greenland Business.
Future of Greenland opens the doors to the world and invites Greenland’s youth to meet and challenge stakeholders and opinion leaders from both home and abroad. Greenland Business believes that those who are the future of Greenland are best suited to decide what the Greenland of tomorrow should look like: The Future of Greenland!
